The Mapex 14″ x 5.5″ MPX Steel Hammered Snare Drum is a workhorse at a great price. The dimples in the 1mm shell give it a drier sound than other steel snares, making it great for recording.This drum produces a powerful sound with barking highs, focused mids, and pretty fat lows. Its wide tuning range makes it a bit of a chameleon, sounding nice in many different genres. The 1.5mm hoops are designed to withstand years of rimshots and accents without breaking a sweat!
