Dual Chamber
The two 18” Wharfedale Pro LF transducers with massive 4” voice coils work together to deliver up to 138 dB Max SPL.
Using cast frame aluminium baskets, any mechanical distortion is dramatically reduced ensuring smooth, accurate and honest reproduction.
Birch PLywood
WLA-218SUB is constructed of 18 mm thick Baltic birch plywood.
Not only does this create a solid and durable cabinet, but it also contributes to the overall sound and character.
WLA-218SUB is also covered in our most durable and hard wearing black paint finish. This ensures that it will always look as good as the day you unboxed it.
Parallel / discrete
Run the WLA-218SUB in Parallel or Discrete mode.
In Parallel mode both drivers are connected in parallel, resulting in a 4Ω subwoofer.
In Discrete mode both drivers operate individually and can respond to separate source material. In this configuration each driver is 8Ω.
AMPS & DSP
A Versadrive DSP (such as SC-48 FIR) or a DP-N series amplifier with internal FIR filtering is highly recommended to get the most from the system. Phase, EQ and filtering should be applied and this way, the physics of the system can be truly optimised – delivering that sub-bass ……directly into the faces of the audience!
Wheely practical
For easy transportation, WLA-218SUB is compatible with Wharfedale Pro optional caster wheels.
